• Your website will be hosted as a subdomain of our parent site www.crislis.co.uk. In other words its web address is www.yourdomainname.crislis.co.uk.
• You may be able to redirect/forward your own domain name to this address if your domain name registrar offers this option*.
• You can have your own email addresses in the form yourname.crislis@crislis.co.uk
• You may have email addresses at your own domain if your domain registrar offers web forwarding/redirection*.
• Email accessible via webmail or your preferred email client
• Good bandwidth allowances
• Simple server scripting capabilities (PHP - Linux and .ASP - Windows)
• Simple Control Panel

You may also upgrade the bandwidth and webspace on the two cheaper packages. Simplistically each 5 Mb of webspace adds £10 per annum as does each 1 Gb of monthly bandwidth.

Please note that we do NOT host pornographic or other sexually explicit sites, nor, unsurprisingly, any site promoting or even merely tolerating any form of human prejudice, intolerance or hatred.

*Front Page Extensions. Although these are available on both Unix and Windows servers, we honestly do not recommend them. They weaken site security and do nothing which cannot be emulated by FTP clients and a handful of readily, and freely available CGI/ASP scripts. In our experience most people who have used them also end up using huge amounts of extra web-space on a clutter of totally unnecessary files generated by Front Page. Front Page itself does, however, remain an excellent tool for the less technically minded to build web-sites.

Small Non-profit organisations - Charities, clubs, societies, associations etc.

While we regard our hosting packages to be extremely good value for money we recognise that organisations such as these often have extremely tight budgets and are concerned not only with value for money but absolute cost. For the benefit of such organisations we will offer our Bronze package at £15 per annum, the Silver at £40 and, the best bargain by far, the Gold at £50. Regrettably we cannot, however, offer a discount on the various extras that might be required as we are simply  passing these costs on.
